The headset with medium noise protection GSSH-A-18 is designed for crew members to work with on-Board communication equipment. This headset has a noise-proof microphone with high signal quality, it was manufactured in the Soviet Union 1970-1980's

Some basic technical characteristics

  • Sensitivity of the transmission path at a load of 300 Ohms, 210±60 mV.
  • The headset provides speech intelligibility no worse than class 2 when transmitting and receiving in conditions of acoustic noise with a total level of up to 115 dB (a dynamic anti-noise microphone is used).
  • Module of total electrical resistance of the microphone to alternating current at a frequency of 1000 Hz is 130±26 Om.
  • Unevenness of the frequency response of the microphone sensitivity in the range of 200-4000 Hz is not more than 12 dB.
  • The paraphonic sensitivity of the microphone at a frequency of 1000 Hz in idle mode is 0.3-1.0 mV/PA.
  • Full electrical resistance module of the headset reception path at 1000 Hz is 600±120 Om.
  • The phone's output at a frequency of 1000 Hz is at least 6 PA.
  • The phone's DC resistance is at least 80 Ohms.
  • Uneven frequency response of the phone in the frequency range of 200-4000 Hz is not more than 12 dB.
  • Operating temperature range, from minus 60 to +60 °C
  • Permissible relative humidity at a temperature not exceeding 50°C, no more than 98 %

  • 250 Hz ... 3 dB
  • 500 Hz ... 6 dB
  • 1000 Hz ... 18 dB
  • 2000 Hz ... 20 dB

Description

The headset transmits information using a noise-resistant, shock-absorbing microphone. Its sensitivity depends both on the distance between the microphone and the sound source, and on the direction of the sound wave incident on it. The microphone is located at a distance of 1.5 cm from the speaker's mouth. This distance is optimal for normal microphone operation. To increase the power of conversational currents developed by the microphone, an amplifier made on a chip is installed in the headset. The headset allows you to perceive information through phones. Small-sized phones are placed in cases on which noise-canceling shock absorbers are put on to protect the ears from acoustic noise and to ensure intelligible speech.
